I'm thinking I may load up a few antennas this evening and try a bit of hill topping if I can. I'ts a bit on the short notice side but thats what makes it fun. I plan on mainly using 2 meter ssb and of course FM, I don't think I'm set up at the moment to throw in the UHF antenna gear. I have a homebrew 2 meter Halo I want to test to get ready for the Sweepstakes in Jan. Was wondering if anyone knows of any good hill tops within in an hour or so of Columbus that are pretty easy to access.

Bellefountaine is less than an hour from Columbus. That is the highest point in Ohio. The tallest point is near the intersection of U.S. 33 and U.S. 68. It is listed on most maps.

Good luck!

Turn north on US68 then turn into the little truck stop there and you'll have lots of room in the back lot to set up. Nice thing about operating from there is food and bathroom.
Good Luck in the contest!
