I just wondered if anyone has ever monitored FBI frequencies particularly in Southwestern Ohio. If so, what are the frequencies they use and what can be heard?

You can find them listed under the Federal agencies under the State of Ohio in the database.

For brevity's sake:

Main Cincinnati FBI repeater is:

173.100 ----- FBI DVP Cincinnati A1 162.7375 in

The others are:

173.125 ---- FBI DVP Covington KY ?
173.150 ---- FBI DVP Cincinnati A2 162.7625 in
173.175 ---- FBI DVP Dayton 167.4875 in

What you will mainly hear is a high pitch tone, then "whoosh", as
nearly 99% of the traffic is DVP (Encrypted). On rare occasions you may catch something "in the clear".

Do not expect it to produce much interesting listening.

yes, but but with so much new P25 activity I don't want to take a chance on missing P25 on this frequency. I have found 8 freqs active with P25 in just the last couple of weeks
Use a CTCSS of 167.9 and it will block out the DVP/DES [Whoosh]
and you will then only hear "in the clear" transmissions

Enter them in both modes then. Works well here in New England.
One bank with the P25 channels and the other with the analog.
