I have a quick question about these systems. I know that for modulation of conventional channels you can set modulation for AM/FM/NFM. When scanning these systems on my bc246t it comes up NFM. I didn't know if I was to be worried I would be missing anything, but when checking the forums here i didn't see any modulation listed for the TRS systesm. Are all TRS systems NFM by default?

Sorry, I've scanned before, but never had to program a scanner as complicated as the BC246t.

Thanks. I didn't think they were using modulation, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the quick reply.

MontCo. Doesnt use modulation. Ive never heard ANY w/ my Pro-95. Unless MontCo. goes digital, You should be fine.

NFM (narrow FM) is a type of modulation, just not the type you're thinking of.

Backfocus... If your scanner defaulted to NFM, you'll be fine. It will probably work out a bit better, as many systems are setting their deviation levels lower in preparation for narrow-banding their systems. Using NFM as opposed to FM will improve your recovered audio.
