Rural Northeast Ohio.

O.k., I have just started messing with the 800 trunking on the scanner.
I have endered abunch of 800MHz cahnnels but have not herd anything

I do live rural and no local dept. use trunking.
But i should at least be able to hear something
even if it's far off and full of static.

Maybe i'm not setting the scanner up properly?

Anyway, is they any specific 800MHz trunk freq, i could put in just
to see if i have the scanner set up properly?

My local area is Leetonia Ohio.....44431
Not much around, nearest would be Warren ohio (trunked) or
austintown ohio (trunked)

Anyone..........

Thank You in advance for your time.

I'm using win 93 to program, and i do not understand the trunking aspect of it.
I am total nOOb when it comes to thrunking, fleetmaps,ID's and the rest of
the trunking stuff.

Ohio Marcs does not show leetonia, but does show several in columbiana (about 5 miles away) and salem (also about 5 miles away)

I can't figure this trunking stuff out, and i am frustrated.

I have been reading the scanner manual and going through the trunking section about 5 times now, and i must admit, the manual is NOT very clear on how to do it.......

Your scanner won't pick up MARCS - that is a digital system and you don't have a digital scanner.
