Clark County Sheriff is supposed to start using MARCS on October 1st, could be they are trying out the new radios.
If you can, keep track of the radio IDs.

The following Unit IDs are asscociated with this talkgroup: i1603, i1607, i1608,i2468, and i2470. All of them use first names only and they are doing surveillance.

My uneducated guess is this talkgroup belongs to BCI out of London.

That would be TG 16608 (Post 18) with a +3 (patched) status bit. All TGs on the regular MARCS system are evenly divisible by 16, if not they are TG with a status bit. http://wiki.radioreference.com/index...pe_II_SmartNet

Which system are you hearing this on? MARCS? Lake County? Lake County P25? MARCS IP P25 (700)?

That number series on MARCS IP P25 seems to be related to Mentor PD. It's not on Regular MARCS which this thread is concerned with.

I may take that back. That number series could be related to Ashtabula on regular MARCS.

If he heard 27626 on MARCS, it would actually be 27616 (Ashtabula SO) with a status bit of 10, which would mean it was a DES encrypted emergency transmission. I guess that would be possible, but I'm sure it wasn't. Why? Because based upon what he said, he was able to hear traffic (i.e. it was in the clear) and he just wasn't sure who the users were.

So I doubt he was listening to MARCS. He was most likely listening to MARCS-IP P25, and 27626 would most likely be some agency's 1A talkgroup.

It's on Lake County's new P25 MARCS (800mhz freqs). I also suspect a 1A TG, but who knows? Is this not the MARCS TG thread? Should it be posted to the P25 thread instead? I'm cornfuzed!

This the MARCS thread, not the MARCS-IP P25 thread. The link below is where you want to post about P25 MARCS in Lake/Cuyahoga/Geauga/etc.

Ohio MARCS - IP (Project 25 System)

I believe TG 40784 is Mercy Health Medical Transport .....

I have been hearing what sounds like intra facility ambulance operations lately that has units transporting from Western Hills/Fairfield/Anderson to UC and those locations line up to the various Mercy Hospitals around Cincinnati.

Mercy Health just started their own transport service in cooperation with Community EMS (out of Michigan) back in April.

Unidentified MARCS talkgroup heard on 868.4875 (franklin county site) while I was in fayette county on I-71 N just SW of the I-270 loop.

13344. Heard them looking for a 99 Malibu. A female officer (trooper?) found it and attempted stop. A chase ensued. All kinds of lights-and-sirens type activity with the officer losing the car for a minute or so and then chasing it again. Called off when the vehicle entered a school zone. When the chase began, the dispatcher mentioned 'post 43 initiate chase radio traffic procedures' or something of that sort.

Im not aware of an OSP post 43. Unfortunately I am not from the area and was not familiar with the street names the officer was calling out as she was passing those intersections.

What were some of the street names? Someone might be able to ID from what you can provide.

I have been hearing Post 29 (Greene County) using the Post 68 ( OSP Post 57 Preble/Darke County ops) talk group here lately. Did they stop dispatching out of Greene County. Just thought it was a little odd
