They haven't dispatched out of Post 29 for a few years now. As part of the OSP Consolidated Dispatching, Wilmington Post 14/D8 HQ has been dispatching Post 29. Probable answer is that Wilmington was experiencing high traffic volume and dispatching was shifted to Post 68 tg temporarily.

Default Marcs tg 25296

I have spent the past few days with family just East of Toledo for thanksgiving and have been noticing almost constant police radio traffic on TG25296. This TG is not in the DB. Does anyone know who it is? I have heard a range of PD traffic on this TG that is mainly occurring in the area of the I475/I75/US23 exchange on the south/southeast edge of the city. Maybe this is a simulcast of something on the NW Ohio P25 system?

Default Tg 55264

TG 55264 -- OSP unknown post

Active in East Ohio, dispatched by Lisbon dispatch usually. However, on same day and approximate time I hear the usual TG 16864 (P04 ASTHABULA) and TG 16896 (P15 LISBON).

Traffic heard just recently on TG 55264 was a trooper at SR 11 at 46 (which is north of the city of Columbiana, East of Salem, and south of Canfield).

I also note that there appears to be some consolidated dispatching changes but I'll monitor in more detail to be sure.

TG 55264 appears to be a District 4 talkgroup somewhere. I don't know if it replaced an existing D4 dispatch talkgroup or if it's something else.

ADDENDUM: I just heard 1203 (osp unit) call: "1203 LISBON 3", and then Lisbon responded and they exchanged some info.

Hi Russ.

It's the "new" Post 15 Lisbon talkgroup. It and 55292 (P15TAC). No idea why they switched it up, but for nearly the past week I've heard them communicating on 55264. It actually shows up in Unitrunker as digital crosspatch. On a rare occasion I hear Lisbon on their old talkgroup, but 99% of the time they are on 55264.

If you notice, you'll even hear the cars call in to "Lisbon".

Mike

I have been hearing the same unlisted medical transport talkgroup off the Kirkwood Tower recently.. Just five minutes ago I finally heard someone actually call into "medcom" and he then proceded to give to them, a very detailed beginning of shift report for his particular unit.
The Talkgroup is 11008 and when looking at the MARCS database that TG number comes at the end of an uninterrupted block of Medflight TG's but I have yet to hear any indicators to confirm that the mode of transport here is in fact aircraft or if it is a ground service TG...

jpadley85...you are correct on that one, it is all Lucas County P-25 system. I have a wild card in my MARCS only template and it always picks up the LCPSS on TG25296, the question is why? You are right it is not listed in the DB. We need jprior to respond on this one, or any one who has any info on this. This is just crazy.

Do you have access to another scanner a you can set to Lucas Co's system? That would confirm if you are hearing a patch.

I did not when I posted the first question, but just purchased a 996xt for my car, so the next time I am back in the area I will try to narrow it down. It's just nice to FINALLY get a reply and some confirmation that the traffic on that tg is coming from the new P25 system.
I will post again the next time I am in the area and can figure out what it is.
Thanks

Smile P-25 Patch

jpadely...I have confirmed it is a patch, after monitoring it for a full 24 hrs this is what i learned. It is only three talk-groups, all dispatch, TPD Central Dispatch, TPD South, & Lucas County Sheriff Dispatch. The MARCS Freq being used are 866.88750 =C 868.26250=A 867.31250=A and 866.83750.

I must say it is so nice to finally be able to listen to them with out having to deal with the simulcast multipath distortion of a P-25 system, 3600 baud and one tower is great...lol NO MORE BREAKING UP!

Don't count on it lasting for very long; permanent patches are against MARCS policy, and they're very strict about enforcing the policy. They're probably there for something temporary such as a task force operation or other special purpose, and will be discontinued once it's over.
