Default OKC trying to boost weak areas?

This is at Britton & MLKing/Eastern, pointed northwest. Is OKC trying to fill in weak reception areas of their MDTs?

Default Not the case this time

I think you have it confused. What you see above is a MeshNET transponder that operates the MDT systems of the Fire and Police departments. Oklahoma City has the largest civilian operated MeshNET TCP?IP system in the world. It serves something like 641 square miles. It is similar to the one operated in theaters of war by the U.S. military. The transponder above with the parabolic dish is an active node. The ones without a dish is a passive node. They locate passive nodes in between the active nodes. The data is passed back to the router via the dish. You will see these transponders all over the city. They are not a function of the EDACS system as those are separate radio towers or antennas located on tall structures. The systems are intentionally separate for security purposes. In the event that the radio system is knocked out they would have the MDT to handle communications. That is unlikely due to redundant design that allows OKC units to access OG&E's separate EDACS system. If an OKC unit goes out in the boonies they can also access AEP's EDACS system. I believe that is the reason OKC went with Macom instead of the state 800 system.

That's the first time I've ever heard a logical rationale for why OKC went with M/A-COM.

Have they ever roamed onto OG&E's system?

I can't help it, but every time I see their power supply solution I can't help but wonder why I didn't think of it.
