Default OHP on 412 very odd activity

I just made a trip from Lake Keystone to Sandsprings and back.
On the way, there was 3 OHP units parked in the inside lEast bound lane with emergency lights on. They were about 1 1/2 miles east of HW 151. The troopers were wandering around on the shoulder of the outside lane. There was no civilian car or person present. One of the troopers had what looked like a blue clipboard, but no paper on it.

When I came back from Sandsprings, about 20 minutes later another trooper had joined them. They were still walking around on the shoulder. They didn't appear to be looking on the ground for anything. The trooper with the blue board was holding it up in front of him with both hands. I heard nothing on OHP freqs.

Anybody have any idea what they were up to??????????????
Why were they parked in the passing lane and not on the shoulder??

Trooper Martin planning his next traffic stop, making sure he had enough room for a fight?

lol, I wonder if they were looking for some evidence i.e. dope or part of the meth lab from TCSO/Parks 404's pursuit last night, it went thru there. The Cops crew was along for almost the whole thing, including the K9 chewing on a suspect at the end, should be on some time next year

You know I was just about to post up about hearing a lot of "That will look good on TV" comments on Lowband for the last couple of weeks, I wondered if they (Cops) were in town.

Someone in this state actually said yes to COPS?! They asked the OKC Metro several times in the past but no one wanted them. Or we talking about that American Jail show?

There's been a film crew from the actual Cops show riding w/ Tulsa Co for the past few weeks, pretty cool guys I got to meet them. Talk about a cool job, traveling city to city 9 months a year getting paid to go on police ride-alongs.

Back to the OP's question, it is possible that they were doing additional accident investigation or reconstruction from a crash some time ago. Just a guess but it beats the " dropped donut" guess by a mile...:-)

I'm a police officer in the OKC metro area, I stop with my lights for random reasons sometimes. This week, I stopped all traffic to remove a turtle from the road, then I drove to a lake to give it a better home.
