Default Big Cabin Site

Does anyone know if the Big Cabin site has changed frequencies? Haven't heard any thing in a few days?

I tell you what...I sure am glad I have a Pro 106 where I don't have to worry about all those frequencies! I just load the control channels and the radio does the rest!

Is the "Big Cabin" site the same as the "Pryor" site?

I'm having problems on the Big Cabin site ever since the rebanding with my Pro 163. I have entered all of the new frequencies and even confirmed them with Carl at Muskogee Communication who did the rebanding. I still cannot pick anything up.

Did you switch T-Tables for Rebanding, are your problems picking up some transmissions but not all, and if so its the freqs with a 5 in the 4 decimal, for instance 853.5125 would work without the rebanded tables, but as soon as it hits a freq with a 0 in the 4 decimal, like 853.1250 it wont work. You can change table but, Im not sure how you do it, I think only with a programming cable and you can use the software the comes with the cable for changing the rebanding Tables. LOVE AND BLESSINGS

To the overall point, yes, that's right, the scanner must know that the system has been rebanded regardless of whether the OP put in "all the channels" (in fact Unidens only need the control channels).

The other bit is interesting and I read the same thing on the RR Wiki Rebanding article. Seems that only the "splinter" channels re-use channel numbers so if, by chance, your local system is rebanded using only channels with a 5 in the 4th position after the decimal, your old radio will trunk just fine.

If the listings are accurate, then it seem that OKWIN Sites 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38 will be immune from Nextel's madness.

Cool.
