Interop channel plans for downloading
I found this pamphlet today that has a pretty handy chart near the back (appendix, Table 3) that lists the National Interop freqs and naming. It came in pretty handy programming the scanner. You'll notice the VTAC and UTAC channels have a lot of duplication so you only need to program the one freq. The channels have different names as one is for a repeater and the other is direct.

Just typing "interops" in Google will bring you lots of PDF's to download! If we have an active fire season this spring, you can count on lots of interop traffic! Last year VTAC13, several 8TAC's and OKWIN RMA CN channels were active, especially RMA CN 2E. If you're close enough to the action in Oklahoma Co., monitor the County Fire Ops# channels which are direct, no repeater.

Oklahoma County interop channel plan
I saw were the Oklahoma DB had been updated and now Oklahoma county has VHF interop channels.
Oklahoma county RED, GREEN, BLUE, ALT, Air To Ground 1, Air To Ground 2, And Forestry. The last 3 are self explainable, So two questions, 1. What are the first 4 channels used for? And 2. When did Oklahoma county move to Nevada, or California? LOL.

Looks like the database has been updated to include what those for channels are for:
Blue = Law Enforcement
Red = Fire
Green = EMS
Alt = Alternate

Yes but is the database correct? Would/could anyone in Oklahoma county please conform. I have never seen any color coded channel ID's out side the NV./CA. area. And if you guys/dolls have a slick 800 Mhz set up what are these channels used for? Are all 77 counties in OK. going to have/use them?
Just old and curious, Paul.

The new blue, green, red channels for ok county fire are for the Oklahoma county wildland task force. And that is it if they have any other designation I'm not aware of it. That is what was explained to me by someone who knows a lot more than I do.

RED, Blue, Green
These channels are for Oklahoma County only they are for the fire departments only nothing more and nothing less. There is also a long list of vtac freq. that are in the fd's radios, along with several tactical repeaters, & federal interop channels included.
