Was it on one of the VTAC channels? They patch to those when working with the rural departments quite a bit

Question: how are these apps able to listen to OKC FD? I thought they were setup in such a way that we couldn't listen to them.

The scanner apps allow you to tap into the feeds from radio reference.

There is a user that has OKC FD running on here, so you just need to download the app and point to OKC and you should see my feed OKC PD and OKC FD

best of luck

Ok. I was just curious how the RR user was able to access the audio from FD since they're encrypted and a normal scanner is unable to listen to them.

Along these lines, is there an easy, quick guide to setting up the DSD? I looked on the Wiki page and the DVDS forum but didn't see one.

Pro Voice is not encryption but a proprierty digital mode, several such modes exist. The holder of the "Pro Voice" technology has chosen not to license the technology to other manufacturers.
