Default Radio Techs In Edmond

I was hearing some Radio Techs talking about going to both Edmond sites next to do some work. They sounded like they had been working in the OKC metro all week. I wonder what they will be doing to the Edmond sites? I wonder if they will be connected to the state DPS sites? All the radio traffic was being heard on City of Tulsa Radio Techs Channel C 39600. Fast2 or anyone else in Edmond are you guys monitoring the techs? Do you know what they are up to? Thanks...

Default Edmond Sites

PJ,

Edmond City Council voted a while back to upgrade and connect to the state system as part of the statewide communications plan. From what the guys at Total Radio have said lately, it's supposed to be in the works as we speak, so I'd assume that's what they were referring to. Oak Cliff and Deer Creek Fire Dept's are joining the state system via the Edmond system very soon. (Oak Cliff in the next few months and Deer Creek within the next year or so)

E,
Glad to hear it! Well now you know they are going to be working on it next week. It will be nice when they are finished. Enjoy...

Just wanted to let any of you who listen to Edmond that the techs are working on the site and will be there all week. Just heard a tech say he was getting a motel in Edmond etc. It will be interesting to listen while they are working and what the changes will be. Fast2 are you monitoring?
