Default Icom IC R-75 Shortwave Receiver

Hello all,

Up for sale is a slightly used Icom IC R-75 Shortwave Receiver. Has the UT-106 DSP module installed along with Sync AM capability. Very nice shape. Everything works as it should. Comes with original boxes, original power supply, and instructions. Asking $ 425.00 which includes shipping to lower 48 only. Prefer Paypal for payment but will accept US Postal money order also.

If interested, please email me: tim_mazza@msn.com

Thanks for looking and happy monitoring.

Default R-75

Hi Bill,

No dings, no paint chips, no scratches, display is nice and bright, keys are in very good shape, this is a used unit so it is not mint out of the box but is in very nice condition. I would say 8.5+ out of 10. Thanks.

Default IC-R75 Update

Hello all,

I purchased this radio from Ebay about a month ago and simply don't have time to play with it. If anyone is interested, I will send you the link to the Ebay auction. I have sold and traded on Ebay and on this site many times. The reason I am writing this is because of a few members who are questioning my honesty/integrity because I am selling this radio so soon. If you have any doubts about my honesty or integrity then don't bother emailing me about this radio. Thanks. If nobody on here wants it in two days, then it is off to Ebay land. Thanks and happy scanning to all my brothers and sisters.

I feel that I must reply to this as I was one of the people who emailed you.

I think quite a few of us on here buy and sell gadgets pretty often, however, buying a radio and re-selling it within 28 days makes me believe that you weren't happy with the radio for one reason or another. I simply asked if there was anything wrong with the radio as it was a little suspicious to me. The response I expected to get was something along the lines of, "nope, nothing wrong with the radio, it just isn't for me" or "I bought it and I just really don't like the way it looks", etc... Instead, I get a rude email bashing me for questioning your integrity. I'm sorry Tim, but I've never met you. We're not long time friends, we don't have a history. I have no way to tell if this is the one time you feel that it is ok to pawn off a radio that has an intermittent problem to someone else, or if you simply didn't like the radio. To that end, my offer to you was only $50 lower than your asking price. The responses I would have expected to this would be something like, "to get it sold tonight, yes, I'll take $375", "no, that is a little low, how about $400?", or, "no, my asking price is my final price". Instead you go on about be low-balling you and say, and I quote, "Look elsewhere to buy".

Tim, as I put in my email response to you -- I would have bought your radio at $425, but the attitude in your email reply to me completely turned me off on the transaction.

I wish you the best of luck in selling your radio, it is a great deal on a great radio.

Thumbs up

$425.00 is an excellent price for an ICOM IC-R75. Especially considering the new ones no longer include the synchronous AM detection!

I can vouch for Tim's honesty and integrity. He's been around here for years, don't hesitate to buy from him.

I have traded with Tim before and his word is good as gold. If he says it's a 8 out of 10 it's more then likely a 9 out of ten. I would have spoken up sooner but I am just interested in scannersand just looked into this thread to see what Tim is up to.......Ray
