Thumbs up XP Professional for XP SP3 (both legal)

Will trade my unused, legal, full version "M$ slip-case-boxed" NON-OEM Windows XP Professional (2002 release) for an unused, legal, full version NON-OEM Windows XP SP3 (or SP2) that will install and activate on my ASUS 900 Laptop. (Not enough room on the small SS Drive for my Pro, so never activated it). :-(

Mac..

PM me if any questions..

You know that you could slipstream SP3 into your existing install media?

Check this out:

I was going to suggest that also. The Pro version isn't any bigger than a SP3 version either, since you mentioned size.

Slipstream that puppy and forget about it. I make a new install disc every time a service pack comes out.

Somehow I was informed it was, and after installation, you could remove some of the services you had no need for..

I suspect (after asking a few other owners) that the small ASUS Netbook SSD (Solid-state-drive) was MORE unhappy about the attempts to install "PCI.SYS" and that's why the install failed while looking for a PCI Bus, or the like. It was a rejection by the PC, not by the Install CD. CD is virgin, still, and never activated, BTW.

Reason for trade: I bought the ASUS with LINUX, figuring I'd save $$ and learn as I go, but found (Being in my 70's with PPS and OH-surgery-induced "brain Fog" ;-) ) that I just couldn't learn LINUX, so have to buy or get a installable/activateable XP2 or 3 CD to install. - Seen the XP CD at around $90 bux, but on SS income only, that will have to wait. ;-( - Sold my PRO-96 (No APCO up here in N. GA Mtns), but that went towards home tax bill.. ;-)

FWIW - I read the Slipstream info for future use, but even THAT's tough to understand or follow for me, despite being a retired NASA-KSC Systems Eng'r. :-(
