Several Motorola Sabers and Systems Sabers plus Equipment
I have several Motorola Saber Model Radios up for sale today. I've only used these radios in the following city environments: Law Enforcement and Amateur Radio.
All these radios are in excellent condition. All of these radios for sale are rated at 8/10. All of the radios except one have identification markings.
So, here is what's for sale:
(1) Motorola Saber I VHF
This radio includes 12 channels, an emergency button (which is activated upon pressing the Clear/Secure Switch), MDC600/1200 Digital Unit ID Signalling, Clear/Securenet Module. Band Split is 146-162 MHz. Programming is free for the radio. BE ADVISED: NO CHARGER OR BATTERY IS INCLUDED (SEE BOTTOM OF POST FOR CHARGER AND BATTERY UP FOR SALE). Radio transmits at 6W on high. Radio includes antenna.
Asking price: $50
(1) Motorola Saber II VHF
This radio has an 8K on board memory, thus it has the capability of holding 10 Zones totalling of 120 Channels. Scan capabilities, digital signalling (MDC600/1200), on-board display. Three button Keypad "Menu; Select; Enter". Also, this radio includes an emergency button. Backlight works and there are no missing LEDs on the display. Also, radio has capability of channel name display and zone name display. DTMF Auto-dial. Free programming of entire radio. Radio is SECURENET capable with the module already installed. Band Split is 146-162 MHz. Radio transmits at 6W on high. Radio includes antenna.
Asking price: $90
(1) Motorola Saber II UHF
This radio has an 8K on board memory, thus it has the capability of holding 10 Zones totalling of 120 Channels. The radio has scan capabilities, digital signalling (MDC600/1200), on-board display. Radio has three button keypad "Menu; Select; Enter". Radio includes emergency button. Backlight works and no missing LEDs. Radio has capabilities of channel name display and zone name display. DTMF Auto-dial. Radio is SECURENET capable with the module already installed. Band split is 440-470 MHz. Radio transmits at 6W. Radio includes antenna.
Asking price: $90
(1) Motorola SYSTEMS Saber III VHF
This radio is a Motorola SYSTEMS SABER III. It operates in VHF and has 16 Channels per zone. The radio has the capability of password-entry upon using (or lockup). The radio has an on-board MDC Decoder. Also included is the capabiltiy to send tones over the air, scanning and editing scan lists, DTMF Auto-dial memories, Digital Signalling of MDC 600/1200. Nusiance-scan temp delete of a channel. Repeater Talk around operations along with several other features that make this radio more than complete. Frequency Range is 136-174 MHz. This radio does have embedded markings of the radio id. Transmits at 6W on high. Radio includes antenna.
Asking price: $150
---ACCESSORIES---
(2) Motorola Saber / Systems Saber Public Safety Mics...
There are two public safety mics that are available for these radios. Excellent condition. No tears or wripping in the coil cord or wire. Sounds crisp transmitting and receiving.
Asking price: $25 per mic.
(2) Motorola Saber Chargers
Original Equipment Manufactured Chargers by Motorola for Saber batteries. Chargers are standard-rate and all light indicators are functional. Tested and working. Includes cables for powering into a wall outlet.
Asking price: $15 + $20 to ship per charger (these chargers are heavy and cost a lot to ship).
(2) After-market batteries. I have a 2400 mAh battery which is relatively new and holds a long charge. Roughly 40 Hours on stand-by. This battery I would ask to be $25. I have a smaller 1700 mAh (I believe?) battery which is struggling to hold a charge. It charges, however, it will only last about 5 Hours on standby. Talk time would last at most 10 Minutes of transmitting. This can go for $10. A new cell can be replaced in it to fully restore it.
In all, this totals $535. There are shipping charges on all radios and equipment. Usually, $10 would cover it, unless it is the chargers, where $20 is needed.
The only reason I am getting rid of these radios is I have since upgraded to new "dual-band" equipment; since my city shares a lot of both "VHF and UHF". I can't be forced to use one band while missing out on another band. These radios all work and function normally. They do exceed standards in some ways, and have been taken care of greatly. All radios have belt clips as well. Again, each radio is 8/10.
If you are interested in any of the radios listed here, please feel free to email me at KB3RDO [AT] HOTMAIL [DOT] COM or PM me here at the boards. Remember: be sure to replace "[AT]" with "@" and [DOT] with ".".
Thank you,
Nicholas Seelinger

Putz, I haven't received any email from you that I am aware of? Are you sure you are sending it to the proper address? KB3RDO [AT] hotmail [dot] com?
Nothing in the Junk Mail either.
You may also feel free to PM me if interested.
Thanks.
Vzfarms, the Saber III is in narrowband specifications, however it works wideband as well.
