Up for sale is the Icom IC-F24 UHF Portable 450-512MHz Analog with PL/DPL, 2 Tone, 16 Channel, scanning. Included is a Lithium Ion Battery and Drop in Charger and programming.
You can use 2-Tone while Scanning in this radio, Meaning you could use 2-Tone in Place of a PL or DPL tone to Open up the Squelch when the tones are sounded.
This would make a great FRS, GMRS/Public Safety RX only radio or a secondary Public Safety HT.
I have it programmed to RX only on the Public Safety Frequencies only. This radio is Mil-Spec and Similar Icom Models are used by the US Military.
$210 takes the Icom with free programming.
*I will program anything RX (450-512 MHz) in to the Radio, FRS Frequencies will be restricted to one watt and Only Licensed GMRS Users will have GMRS Freqs programed in*
*If you want Public Safety Transmit Frequencies in this radio, unless I know personally that your in Public Safety (Like a certain local dispatcher on here who would have no use for a UHF Portable) I will require some type of proof that you are an authorized user on the system. Example if you work for XYZ FD, and provide proof your authorized, then I will program in XYZ FD as TX.^*
