Default FS: Kenwood TK830H UHF

Have 1 Kenwood TK830H UHF mobile:

  • radio is uhf
  • 160 channels (10 groups of 16 channels)
  • high power
  • covers 450-470Mhz

Unit is 160 channels, but toggle (using D/A switch) on repeater channels will give you talkaround capability so you will actually get over 160 channels.

You will notice that the radio has a Motorola speaker, I didn't like the kenwood speaker so I replaced it with the motorola (if you would like the kenwood speaker) I might be able to find it. No promises, but I still might find it. But, the volume that is put out by this unit will blow you away.

While testing it, I had the volume up about 1/3 of the way and was using a hand held 1 floor below the unit and was still getting reverb when testing. This radio was in another vehicle and had just removed it because I had sold the vehicle and had forgotten how good a radio it was. The unit is at least 50 watts

I used it for GMRS operations and for monitoring UHF agencies in the local area. I'm looking to get about $200.00 OBO (this does not include shipping or insurance).

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, for reading my ad.

Frank

Kingpin:

Thanks for confirming that this is a very good radio. I had forgotten it was 110 watts. I was looking for the original box, but couldn't find it while posting the add. I did my best to keep it looking as good as it it. But, it is a tough unit and will withstand lots of abuse. And, you last sentence said it all.

Trying to whittle down my collection of equipment, though if I don't get any offers it may get installed in my new Crown Vic.

I'm trying to find my programming software for it, if I can then I will be able to do it. If not I believe any radio shop should be able to do it for you.
