Peel Reginal Feeds

Please take note that I will attempt to keep the feeds going as long as possible in the event of loss of power

I currently have 30mins of backup power at home that feeds my server room which handles my inet as well as the feeds

we willl roll over to gen within 10 mins of confirmed outage.

Hope to keep you all informed on whats going on in peel tonight

Excellent work Rexx, but if your on Cable internet like me it will be useless as the box down the street from you where your internet comes from will have no power backup and you will lose internet if the power fails

Rogers who handles those boxes (infrastructure) don't use B/U units the the green boxes on the street so if power goes out so does their switching unit... Been their done that buddy...

we will still be online.

if rogers goes down it switches to a wireless link to my office. due to nature of my business i must stay online 24/7

last resort is a dsl line.

wireless should be solid as its a box not a ant

but we shall see

Yes i do that with the paging as well have a 3G wireless usb stick as backup

its died down somewhat from 20 minutes ago. But i don't think the blunt of Sandy will be here till 4am or at least whats left of Sandy.

agree
