Default Help Me Choose?

If you had the choice, which scanner would you get...PSR800 or Homepatrol with extreme update. I'm in the market for another scanner come Feb., have a Uniden BCD996T and a DS-150S Discone antenna on a 30' mast.
I have read about both, but would like some pros/cons on each if possible!
Thanks

No scanner will decode Provoice so don't let that sway your decision one way or the other.

I love my PSR800. I got it more for its size and layout compared to the home patrol, also that is was cheaper and didn't have to pay for things like an extreme update. Sounds like you won't be moving around much so if GPS isn't as important to you I would suggest the 800. I use mine with a comet discone about 100' up and works great. Love the features and simplicity of use. It is currently ahead of the HP in terms of systems it can decode also, since GRE recently added some P25 Phase 2 options and is the only scanner to have this so far that I know of, but those systems aren't in use around here I think anyway, but I like how GRE can add such things from firmware updates. I'm not bashing uniden in any way, just stating how happy I've been with my GRE.

Sounds like the 800 is a nice unit.
