Not sure what you mean there.... the NAC is the NAC, there is no equivalent.

Hi FORTS....

OK.. now i am confused..
what i am asking is how do i enter the NAC tone "D1C" for the P25 freqs for the OPP on my 396XT & 996XT?
when i looked on the RR database for the Montreal Fire Dept. P25 simplex it gives me NAC tones of 293NAC..294NAC,,295NAC..296NAC..297NAC

and when i look at the Ontario database for Niagara Falls P25 it shows NAC tones of 127 NAC & 293NAC..294NAC..295NAC & 296NAC

these 3 digit NAC tones i can enter in my radios.. but how would i enter the OPP NAC tone of D1C ?

Radio Reference database example:

Take a look here, this should help you out... Easier to Read BCD396XT Digital Scanner Manual audio type

And again, please start a new thread if you have questions that don't pertain to this current subject.

I thought this thread WAS about OPP SIM channels? And my question is still how do we use D1C NAC tone to listen to OPP SIM 3D to SIM 10D? I obviously know how to use the 3# NAC
Tones..i am using them for Mtl FD & NFFD.. it's OPP's D1C that i dont get. Why cant i get a simple answer for it ?

Why can't you get a simple answer for it? Sorry, I didn't realize I was here to spell it out step by step. Lets start at the beginning... Do you have the manual and have you referred to it? Just in case you don't have it, you can get it here: http://info.uniden.com/twiki/pub/Uni..._Reference.pdf

Page 63 details P25 NAC settings. Are your channels currently set to digital only? If they aren't then you can't enter a NAC. If the channels are set to digital only then you shouldn't have any problem entering D1C as described in the manual.

And yes, this thread IS about the OPP SIM channels. It's not, however, about how to program NAC codes into various models of Uniden scanners.

You won't be high on my list with that attitude.

Hm, he has 3000+ posts helping members - what do you have to show for yourself? Next to nothing.

So how is he supposed to help kirk23? A NAC is a NAC is a NAC. If he can enter 123, why can't he enter ABC? What's the problem? Oh, he hasn't told us that and we're too stubborn to use our mutant mind reading powers today (we don't do that on Tuesdays), so clearly, Forts is out to get you guys. Probably kills kittens too.

Thanks FORTS..

i guess i was getting frustrated..was entering it with FREESCAN.. and it was in "Simple View" so when i chose digital only the NAC box doesn't show..just the TONE box with the drop down menu. thats why i couldn't get it. I appoligize any tension my questions caused..
I really appreciate you taking the time to spell it out for me...

much appreciated... Kirk
