I believe these are on the Guelph Mutual aid Group.

Today is the funeral for the female police officer who was was killed when her cruiser hit a city bus while responding to a call.

Waterloo Regional Police Officers are volunteering for many of the positions in the Guelph Police Department today so the Guelph officers can attend the funeral of their fellow officer.

The radio IDs in use are anywhere from RID18352 to RID18394 just as you said, so my guess is these are the portables Guelph have available for disasters etc.

FYI. Also seen on this talkgroup today so far are 293, 320, and 329 Guelph Police 340 Guelph Fire and 12646, 12917 EMS

Yep, certainly could be. Where did you hear reference to that?

Sorry, I should have worded that differently.

They added a bunch of radios that had never been seen on there before (in the last 2 years anyway). By "new user", I didn't mean a new department - I meant possibly a new user/department in Guelph getting radios.

Those talkgroups are often carried on more than one site.

A lot of the MTO Enforcement talkgroups are patched together, whereever you are in Southern Ontario

Many years ago while diving home from Lions Head I heard the MTO Enforcement units on calls in Guelph, London, etc, off Owen Sound and Durham. At home I can hear the MTO Enforcment units stopping cars in Windsor off the Brantford tower, evidence of patches.

It really isnt wierd. You will hear Enforcement cars being patched all over the SW towers. I.E. If there are enforceent cars affiliating with Brantford and all the Enforcement calls are being patched together in the SW You will hear everything.

Its a bit different in the GTA, more activity, "tighter" (smaller geographic area) patches, still, generally in the GTA and Niagara all the enforcement cars will be patched together and sometimes with local talkgroups.

Trunk 88 spells it out for you to a T.

I have been monitoring the Brantford Tower and talk group 16960 is back and very active today. The usual radio ID`s 16997, 16967, and the like. At the same time there is also a lot of activity on t/g 9312 as well as 1744. All transmissions are ENC as usual. I am beginning to wonder as was mentioned in a previous post, that 16960 might be CBSA. May have to do with the arrests that were made in the tobacco theft ring.

Andy

I've wondered if they are reserved for Joint Services Operations?

On the Simcoe tower I've been seeing unknown TG's: 18288, 14544, 14496, 14544, 13584, 14048. I haven't been able to monitor them but trunk catches them.
