City of Ottawa P25 Frequency Update

I just noticed that 867.6875 has been added to P25 site 2.

Also, it looks like OFS, OPS, and DND are the only services remaining on EDACS

I found I needed to add 867.4625 yesterday, which was the CC.

EDACS may still have Bylaw and Parking Control, will check for them today. Also recently, some
Interop on 532 patched to TG 2001 on P25, not sure the content, may be related to snow operations.

Parking control is now on P-25 TG 2039
Bylaw is on P-25 TG 2037
Light Rail Testing is TG 1539

So....may not be long before listening to OPF will be a thing of the past....had a good run all these years.

Will have to host a big party and we all get drunk to celebrate.

EDIT at 14:24- No parking or bylaw on EDACS so far.
43 hits for parking , and 12 hits for bylaw on P25, will keep on listening.

P25 TG updates

Well, some may not be accurate yet.
So with more listeners it would be easy to come up with conformation.

I wish I could listen to a few more systems to the east of me into Ottawa. Hopefully come spring my plan will be moving my base antenna for the scanner up higher to the roof. My goal is to pull in the EDACS and the new system. Should be able to do it. I can hear them in certain locations around here while mobile out by Renfrew.

LMR-400 coax

Spend the money on LMR-400 coax. It makes a huge difference at 800 mhz.

It would be fun to try a flat panel HDTV amplified antenna.
Might try one this summer and install it on a roof tripod to compare it to the tower antenna.

I am using an old UHF TV antenna turned for vertical polarization, works quite well.

Confirm Bylaw and PC now on P25; PC also using TG2040 (Ch 2).

Something ENC on TG 2045.

bylaw and parking have left as of Tues. I cant hear them anymore. We do their tow contract. The officers used to count on our trucks scanning them, to save time waiting for dispatch to send a truck.

I purposely have a 436 holding on parking control 1 all week, not a peep on Edacs, bylaw either, i miss those loud party and dog barking calls already, lol
