Pacific River Maritime Security
I wandered down to the waterfront this evening to gander at "The World" cruise ship and noticed a boat-load (pun intended) of Pacific River security guys guarding the ship. They also had a boat patrolling in the water with a red/white LED light flashing.
Several of the guys had portable radios and the only time I saw one of the guys use his radio was when my signal stalker wasn't on.
Anyone have the dish on these guys? I've searched FCC records several different ways and came up with nothing.
Their website is here: pacificriver.com - Home
It's owned by two former OLCC agents:
Alan Espasandin - President & CEO
Darrin Taylor - Co-Owner

They seriously need to hire a web designer. Both web pages (Pacific River & Pacific Compliance) are hard to navigate.
In any case, I found nothing myself. Sorry.

according to a news report on 105.1 the seekurity came off the boat, and physically moved bystanders off the public seawall.

According to an Oregon corporation database search, Pacific River is located over in Vancouver. They don't have a business address registered in Oregon state. Also, there was something on their website about having their company formed as part of Evergreen Security at some point, another Washington company. I don't know if Evergreen even exists anymore.
Pacific River's address in Vancouver is the same place as "The Cop Shop," I've never been inside but it looks like a Blumenthal uniform/equipment type place (like in SW Portland, they have the contract for PPB & MCSO uniforms, etc) except it isn't Blumenthal and it's no where near as nice, located in an old, converted house on Hwy 99 in Hazel Dell. Their "marked cars" are parked out back. I don't have a very high opinion of these folks in general...
Anyhoo, there are a number of different leads here for FCC sleuthing. Plus, Pacific River has offices in Seattle and other Washington cities, maybe their FCC registration is out of Seattle or someplace else? Also, they might have been using leased radios, too - in which case the freqs would belong to the leasing company.
Have fun!

I can verify that they do not lease their radios, they own them. We hired them to work an event for us, and in speaking with the owners, they own the radios outright. They will be working another event in this area in 2 weeks. I'll start tracking down the frequencies at that time, and post them here!
They run under multiple companies:
Pacific River Maritime
Pacific Compliance
SCT of Oregon
Statewide Compliance
Cowboy Josh
Molalla, Oregon

Yep, I agree with you, I made the websites myself to save a little money. Just have not gotten around to hiring a pro to make them better yet. Although, I do think they are at least somewhat better than other amateur sites I have run into so that has been at least some comfort to me

Okay, so why the interest in our modest little company?
I assure you that you will need to spend more time than you probably wish to in order to find all the elements of our security team....so for now just know that we are a small modest and hard working maritime security company in Vancouver Washington.
Any questions would be better served to me or the US Coast Guard and Homeland Security regarding our communications.

No special interest at all, other than I'd never heard of you before seeing your officers protecting "The World" cruiseship. No FCC license was found for the state of Oregon, so thought I'd see if anyone knew anything more.
I did find it a bit odd to see Pacific River boats, with red and white strobe lights, patrolling the river.

I have zero interest in contract security guard companies and your communications. Your comms are likely pretty boring and are not my type of interest. And contacting "US Coast Guard and Homeland Security" regarding your communications?!
Ha ha, that's a good one. I'll bet your comms are routed through JCS at the Pentagon, too.

Okay, while I understand the format of this site thus your interests....you are correct to assume that our radio traffic would be incredibly boring and absent any interesting material.
As far as our boat....we just happen to be the only private security company on the river (for now) but as security trends change we will either be joined by others or you will see us disappear from that venue altogether. However, as long as the Coast Guard needs us we will continue to be available.
Note: When on the boat we use channel 16 and any other channel that our clients decide to use.
Anyways....have fun...happy hunting on the airwaves!!!

Thanks for the extra info Alan. Having been in the Law Enforcement field before, I have certain interests in your operation, but for the most part, it's the thrill of the hunt (the freqs) for me.
I could pretty much care less about 99.999% of the business licenses I find out there. Years ago I published a scanner guide for the Lane County area and I always strived to have the most accurate data possible.
Anyhow, good luck with your business, hope you're successful. Looks like a pretty neat outfit you have going so far.
