Default 17 Units

For anyone in the Metro area, am I correct in assuming that any 17XX unit heard on a law net is a Trimet Transit Police officer?

There's been a discussion or two about them on here before. See e.g. Portland Police Radio ID's

The TriMet radio call sign list I have (from last year) says that 1750-1789 are "TriMet Police Units" and that ones below that are unassigned.

Alright, from time to time I hear 179X units on Beaverton and Hillsboro. Beaverton uses "6XXX" and Hillsboro uses "1XXX".

I think the assigned Tri-Met units pop-up on whatever net the train/bus happens to be in at the time.

I would consult the wiki for unit IDs, as Washington County has a common numbering system between agencies.

The #7## units use to be traffic units.
The "##9#" units throughout the county are K9 officers/deputies. They respond countywide with (Sgt ok) to incidents where a dog is needed but one is not on duty for that city/or in the county. With regards to Hillsboro, they also do stolen vehicle tracking.
