Default Clackamas Co not Trunking on PRO-164

I am having trouble getting the control channels for Clackamas County to work correctly on my Radio Shack Pro-164. They worked fine up until about a year or two ago.

I verified that I have the correct frequencies programmed, and I hear the control channel “garbage” when I tune to whichever frequency is being used at the time, but the trucking function doesn’t seem to work at all for Clackamas County any more.

852.43750
852.86250
853.26250
853.76250

It used to work correctly, and Multnomah County still works like it always has, but something changed either with Clackamas County or with my scanner and I don’t know which. Any ideas?

Thanks!

That system was rebanded some time ago and two of the new frequencies can not be tracked by the PRO-164 until you put in Custom Band Plans. It can not be done manually, only using software.

Default Custom band plan

This is the custom band plan for Clack/Wash system that I use in my GRE PSR-310
and it works perfectly - Don't ask me where I got the info - I can't recall.
Perhaps it will work for your GRE made PRO-164 (which is basically a PSR-300).
Much luck.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the responses. It appears that my next action has to be purchasing that USB cable I've been putting off for so long...

Something is still not working. I got the cable, upgraded the firmware, downloaded the custom reband table to a previously unused bank using the software, and I still get nothing. The display shows "COTRL" and the success rate when I am tuned to the active Portland/Mult Co control channel. I hear the same control channel "garbage" when I am tuned to the active Wash/Clack Co control channel, but it never displays the "COTRL" success rate which suggests to me that it is not interpreting the info. I verified this for both Wash and Clack Co active control channels today when I was well within range of each of the two transmitters (Tualatin to Clackamas on I-205).

On a separate thought, shouldn't I still get channels 0-439 without rebanding? It's been completely silent.

Any more ideas?
