Welcome aboard Lauren,
Click on the "database" tab at the top of the page to access all frequency lists.

The Hook/Trainer/LowerChi Police work on SECTOR-1, so you will want the S-1 and M-1 frequencies. The ALFA frequency is a simplex so unless you are very close to the units using it you won't hear them. The fire depts in this area are dispatched on the county dispatch frequency and operate on county channel 5.

City of Chester Police work on SECTOR-3, so you will need the S-3 and M-3 frequencies there. And as above the FOXTROT channel can only be heard if you are very near. Chester Fire Dept is also dispatched on county dispatch and operates on county channel 7.

The city of Phila is a whole different animal as they operate on a digital trunked system and you will need a digital capable scanner($$$) to listen. Both RadioShack and Uniden have these scanners for around $500.

I hope this info is of some help and I think as you explore this site some you will find it to be an exellent resourse for info and frequency lists. The members here are always very knowledgable and very willing to help.

Tom

I found this by accident, looking for something else. I posted this 2+ years ago, and some things have changed since then. Changes are in bold

Fire Departments: (all units dispatched on 46.480 unless otherwise noted. The county now also has 508.2375 PL203.5 for voice dispatching. The only repeater is in Lima at the 911 center, so those close to Philadelphia should probably stick with the 46.480)

FD is Broomall Fire Co; EMS is Marple Twp Ambulance Corps. Despite being two separate entities, they have the same company number...

For Haverford Twp Bureau of Fire, are they dispatched both by county and the township, or is it primarily by the township? It would be nice if Haverford would go the way of Ridley and have the county do all dispatching so everyone in the county would be on the same page...

Haverford Twp. is still on their own dispatch freq. 46.220 with 501.025 as ops. They rarely go on to county frequencies unless they are responding as mutual aide for someone who uses the county system.

Default Station 46

This morning I heard Station 46 dispatched for the first time. I Googled "Delco Fire Station 46" and the search identified Rocky Run Fire Company's facebook page which does not seem to exist when clicking on the facebook page links.

Part of one response says "At 06:26 this morning Cos 46 (69 & 54), 50, 64, 73, RIT45, M1047D were dispatched to Pilot Air Freight for a building fire" implying that 46 is a merger of 69 (Lima) and Lenni Heights (54).

Does anyone have any more information on Station 46?

I heard 46 dispatched yesterday and also googled it. There was two news articles with nothing much just that 54 and 69 merged and renamed to Rocky Run.

Yes, 46 is the new company formed with the merger of 54 and 69. As of October 1st they began running as 46 using 54 and 69 tones but still using 54 and 69 identifiers. They will do this for the rest of the year while elections are held concerning officers for the new combined company. On January 1st, 2013 you will no longer hear 54 and 69. Eventually they will also move under one roof in a new station.

Does anyone know if the Morton-Rutledge Fire Co is still being dispatched by the 11/13 tones?

Also, I'm not sure if any of you have alpha-numeric pagers, but does anyone know what the "Beat XXXX" means after the incident number?

As an example, tonight company 40 was dispatched to the 1300 block of McCay Av in Upper Chi and after the incident number, it read "Beat UC3". The letters seem to correspond to the town dispatched to, but I don't know what the 3 means. Also, Medic 100 was dispatched to the 900 block of Chester Pike in Prospect Park and it read "Beat PP1B". Any thoughts, map coordiates maybe?

Take Care,

Rich C

Rich, The "beat" numbers are the response grid that the response is located in. Different grids may have different responses.

Also, 11/13 is using 13's tone.

Yea this is updated on the wiki page. Someone reactivated a 7 year old thread.

That is incorrect for Upper Darby - their tones are still on 154.415 CSQ with voice on both that frequency and Fire 10 (506.6625 110.9). The only time an Upper Darby dispatch comes over 46.48 and 508.2375 203.5 is when Medic 103 or a non-township company or ambulance is dispatched on a call.

46.22, the old Haverford dispatch frequency, I have come across activity on it that appears to be a simulcast of their dispatch and operations. It's been a few months but I will try to keep an ear on it to see if I can confirm anything.

I hear 154.415 used all the time. 154.325 (107.2) is also still active - it simulcasts 506.6625 (110.9). I last heard activity on 46.22 over the summer.

46.22 is linked to Fire 4 for receive only. This way you can get a 2 channel pager and have 46.48 and 46.22 in the same pager and hear the response channel.

Comm,

Do you know what brand mobile/portables and identifiers are being used down there? I love the identifier used by some of the radios. 15-1, 20-1, & 56-9 are a few I can think of that I've heard use it. It sounds like it's some sort of the MDC preambles. Any ideas on what they're using? If needed I can get an audio clip to post.
