Washington Co Fire - questions

Currently [as of 1-6-2010] the Washington Co DB lists:

151.43 WPNP403 PL 127.3 County Fire Dispatch (VHF) Fire-Disp
151.43 WPNP403 PL 110.9 County Fire - South Strabane VFD Fire-TAC

I don't quite buy those descriptions. I have been listening, and so far just monitoring over the past few days I'm seeing a trend:

151.43 PL 110.9 County Fire Dispatch - Zone 1
STA 31 (zone 1)
STA 39 (zone 1)
STA 43 (zone 1)
STA 53 unknown zone - but close enough to zone 1

151.43 PL 127.3 County Fire Dispatch - Zone 2
STA 12 (zone 2)
STA 18 (zone 2)
STA 35 unknown zone - but surrounded by zone 2 FDs
STA 41 (zone 2)
STA 72 (zone 2)

151.0625 PL 110.9 County Fire Dispatch (25/65/69)
STA 25
STA 65
STA 69

151.3475 156.7 County Fire Dispatch - Zone 3
+ STA 15
+ STA 23

The more I monitor, I'm sure I'll be able to pin down what frequency more agencies are paged out on.

I don't know why Chartiers Twp (25), Houston (65) and Canonsburg (69) would be on their own since they appear to be in Zone 2 - but they appear to be the isolated agencies on 151.0625 at this point

At any rate, in the DB currently, it lists 151.43 PL 110.9 as South Strabane VFD TAC. Althouh South Strabane looks to be in Zone 1, this frequency is not exclusive to South Strabane nor is it licensed specifically to South Strabane.

Perhaps some suggestions should be made as to what these should be labeled as in the DB.

151.43 (with two separate PLs), 151.0625 and 151.3475 are all dispatch frequencies for Washington Co... just how should they be labeled?

If they are labeled as Zone 1 / 2 / 3, then there would be no label for 151.0625 since it seems to be exclusive to only a couple agencies in Zone 2 and those three agencies are not dispatched on 151.43 PL 127.3

Also, the only map I know of for the zones i nWashington Co is a police zone map, and I'm sure many of you know the map I'm referring to. Does anybody know of a map that is specific to fire zones?

Anyway.. those of you who care, please think about this post. I think some re-labelling needs done of descriptions for some of these frequencies in the DB but I won't submit that for an admin to take care of unless there is a concensus.

with the switch over from lowband 46.40to highband their are no doubt going to be some growing pains to figure out what the hell is going on.151.430 pl 110.9 i submitted to the database a few years ago as south strabane was the only one on it.now station 43 north franklin made the switch to vhf high and they are on it also..i dont know what for sure is going on yet but i am bound and determined to find out myself.i think you have pretty well nailed down though.will keep monitoring to see what is what.Sta 72 is EMS that runs into the area and have the zone programmed into the radios that they have.Stations 12,13,41,28,run in the same area together with a couple more companies that are still on lowband such as station 18 but is vhf high capable.i know it is alot of gibberish but we will see i am guessing in the very near future how it comes together.

Zone 2 Fire consists of stations 25, 65, 69 only at this time
zone 3 Fire consists of stations 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 26, 33, 40, 47, 63, 66 only at this time, some are simulcasted over low band still also.

station 72 is fort cherry ems they are equipped with fd radios and use them to talk with the Qrs squads on medical runs for updates.

Thanks for your very useful and informative contributions here the past few days. Youv'e answered many lingering questions I had about data that was in the RRDB (which actually needs to be updated a bit).
