- 159.17250
- 158.99250
FCC listing

5 Channel system is installed and the tower work is complete. They are currently testing the system in the evenings for coverage and will go live in the next few days.

Yes. 158.9925 is the control channel. I've monitored it a few times in the evenings this past week. I've also heard activity on 159.1725 and 156.0975.

What kind of activity are you hearing? Police, cabs, Martians?

I'm hearing the digital signal, of course. But I know it doesn't belong to anyone other than Murraysville given my location and the other FCC licensees of some of those frequencies, plus the fact that it's NXDN digital.

The trunked NXDN system is used by Murrysville Police, Fire, EMS and the road department. Roads use it on a daily basis. The other departments will use it as a backup and secondary comms from the Westmoreland County 800 system.

Thanks for the info. Does Murrysville have problems with Westmoreland 911? Seems, like its overkill for a backup system/secondary system.
