I parked unitrunker on it today. 460.275 didn't see a single hit. Perhaps it is being held back as conventional for a few days just in case. About 1000 hits each on LCN3,4.

Yes it should come in just fine. I have it in my Pro 106 now and monitored it for a time last night and it worked fine once I figured it out.

Perhaps today when non-police users in Lower Merion are active on the trunk system 460.275 will become active again.

One thing I noticed when I re-downloaded LM fresh from RR was the talkgroups were split apart differently, so I did not include the public works or fire department, just the police. The way I had it before I could hear the trash guys all the time and wasn't really interested.

Still no activity on LCN-1...all day. No new TG's either.

I haven't heard much at all, maybe 3 transmissions in the past couple days, and they were faint, maybe I should have included the public works just to see if I could get anything at all. LM is a busy PD, we should be hearing something.

I still have this on the scanner both conventional and trunked (on separate lists).

just scan it as conventional to see if you are getting the transmissions then worry about trunking. FWIW, there looks to be little to no PW activity for the past few days.

I'm scanning both modes, hearing nothing. On my scan list 10, I have 460.275 entered in conventional mode, also on list 10 I have the system trunked channels entered in from RR, as entered via WIN500. I am hearing nothing. However with only scan list 10 active and in scan mode what I am seeing is the scanner stop for 3 seconds on the conv frequency of 460.275 then move on through the trucked frequencies and back to the conv for 3 more seconds, this is a never ending loop for now, still no audio at all even when adjusting the squelch to hear the static no voice, faint or otherwise.

After one hour of scanning I finally heard two transmissions on the conventional channel 460.275, a public works guy asking for a loader at his location so they could dump. Nothing since for the next half hour.

I just don't think they talk very much in Lower Merion.

This is why I didn't see any PW activity on the TRS.

Just yesterday there were about 2000 calls on the TRS and that was primarily PD.

They were pretty active before the switch.

I heard nothing yesterday, I have both programmed in. Prior to being on conv. temporarily and then supposedly going back to the trunked system they were pretty active everyday, now nearly nothing, my radio and antenna are in static positions so nothing changed on my end.

What exactly are you listening too and hearing the broadcasts? I don't know what LCN3/4 is.

I have one scan list on my Pro-197 set up just for Lower Merion., On the list I have 460.275000 set as a conventional frequency.

Via the WIN500 interface using RR I have the following programmed as a TSYS.

As I mentioned in a prior post every few seconds my scanner stops on the CONV frequency but there is no sound. I haven't gotten anything at all from the trunked system since they supposedly switched back. My radio and antenna have not moved in months so nothing here has changed, I used to pick LM clearer than sector 1, 2 or 5 in DELCO, which I am closer to, physically.

I don't understand why I'm still silent here.

460.450 and 460.525

I added the other two CONV numbers listed above and now I am hearing traffic on those, but nothing on the trunked yet. The CONV are acting like the trunked in that I am only hearing one end of the conversation????

Change your TSYS setting to "EDACS NARROW" instead of "EDACS STD." This was mentioned in Post #13 earlier in this forum.

This thread caught my eye as I visit the area occasionally and monitor the LM system while there.

I did change that last night after I posted the photo, RR had LM as having been updated and it was changed there so I uploaded the new info.

Still nothing on the TSYS system.

I also have the three frequencies I noted before as CONV and they are the only freqs I am hearing anything from LM on, albeit one sided. I moved the three CONV freqs to a different scan list and just scanned the list that the LM TSYS system is on and nothing at all.

Default Loud Data Bursts

After the LMPD switch to narrowband, I was able to pick up the EDAC system in conventional mode on my RS scanners, but with lots of data bursts (loud, grinding noise) at the beginning of transmissions. So, I picked up a Uniden BC 346XT which is able to track narrowband EDAC systems; however, the new Uniden is also picking up the loud data bursts. Is everyone hearing these data bursts at the beginning of transmissions? If not, what scanner are you running? Any suggestions on eliminating these annoying data bursts?
