Hey All,

Been listening to the frequencies listed in the database for Perry County, and I'm not hearing much except from the fire mutual aid channel (with Cumberland County). Does anyone know if there's updated information on police and fire in Perry County?

Also the PD Vehicle Repeater channels seem to be related to an analog trunked system somewhere nearby.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks! :)

The low band frequencies are correct for Perry. Make sure you don't have CTCSS turned on (if your scanner has that function, as no tone is used). 46.20 is the fire and EMS dispatch. I pick it up all day long in my vehicle. How long have you been listening? Perry isn't that busy :)

RadioDitch, I scan Perry County as well. You won't hear much traffic except for 46.20 (Fire and EMS dispatch). I imagine 2 and 3 would have traffic during an incident, but I have not heard one yet (only got back into scanning a short time ago). There IS traffic on Police 1, but not much seeing as most of Perry County is patrolled by PSP. The only departments according to a friend of mine who works as a dispatcher are Marysville, Penn Twp, Oliver Twp. and the Sheriff. Here is the information he gave me.

Here is a list of the department/unit numbers he gave to me.

Oliver Twp (outside of Newport) 258 (1 officer)
Penn Twp (out side of Duncannon) 118, 118-1 through 118-9 (10 officers)
Marysville 68, 68-1 (2 officers)
Sheriff 8
Deputies 8-1 through 8-9

If you are interested, here is the list he gave me for which ambulances are from which municipalities.

EMS
Co 1 Blain - A19
Co 2 Duncannon - A29, A29-1....
Co 3 Ickesburg - A39
Co 4 Landisburg - A49, A49-1
Co 5 Liverpool - A59
Co 6 Marysville - A69
Co 7 Millerstown - A79, A79-1
Co 8 New Bloomfield - A89, A89-1....and Medic 1, Medic 1-1, Medic 1-2
Co 9 New Buffalo
Co 10 Newport - A109, A109-1
Co11 Perdix
Co 12 Shermans Dale - A129, A129-1
Medic 81 out of Duncannon

Dave

Thanks guys. I've been listening for about a week. I have yet to hear anything at all on PD, except for some voice traffic on the PD Vehicle Repeater 2. But it would appear my radio is trying to track that like a trunked system.

I believe that the Lebanon Co. system is the one that I hear when I travel that way ,it has the series of beeps after the transmission like an EDACS system. (?)
