Default 171.425 NE PA new digital signal

Hearing a new signal in the Wayne/Pike county area. Digital bursts on 171.425. I know it's never been there before because this is a channel "leftover" from when I moved here seven years ago and was sitting idle in one of my normal scan banks. It has come alive this morning. I don't have a digital scanner but will try to ID system type by ear.

If you can grab a NAC it would help in the possible identification.

Most of the Country this is a USFS Freq.

Thanks, Bill! No digital receiver here so can't get NAC. I'm hoping that someone reading in this area will give it a try (Capt Clint maybe?). Very active freq today.

Maybe Viginia Department of Forestry?:

KA6410
KDE259
KDG893
KE7480
KIJ288
KIJ290
KIJ294
KIJ303
KIK477
KIL469

Got the above callsigns from a ULS search for state of Virginia and exact frequency 171.4250.

Here's a Y2001 report that includes 171.4250:

You might want to look at where the OP is from, so I don't think that's who he receiving.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I'm in NE PA so these signals are coming from PA, NJ, or NY.

The cold front with low temps and clear air has been getting me things from all of those states that I never heard before as well, but not so much to the west. Funny how each weather situation brings signals from different directions.
