I heard Westmoreland Station 110 dispatched on the Turnpike to assist Somerset 601 and was told to use an interoperation talk group, but I didn't hear the exact wording for the talk group.. I am just wondering if they got part of the 800 system working, at least the patching of other talk groups..

Likely one of the Inter-County talkgroups. Doesn't necessarily mean Somerset will be there.

Somerset County ICORRS

Four of our six tower sites are online. We have been using the radios informally just among 911 personnel for about two weeks or so.. Drive testing begins at the end of this month. If you're curious, our FCC license is WQVL922. I uploaded the information for our system to the database a few weeks ago, just waiting for an administrator to post it. Our zone uses a single control channel, at 857.0125.

We will continue to utilize 155.1750 for EMS paging and 33.70 for fire paging. Some time in 2016, 33.70 will be phased out in favor of an as-yet-undetermined high-band VHF channel. Also, I'm fairly certain that this is a P25 Phase 1 system.

Makes sense for compatibility with Westmoreland and maybe Fayette (not sure what type of radios they have).

Talkaround channels are not encrypted, and they're not digital. They are conventional analog only
