Default My newest edition to my cameras

Besides using my Apple iPhone 5 for photographs if not using my Nikon D5100 camera I recently picked up a used in excellent condition Nikon D300 pro DSLR camera. I am some what new to the pro series of DSLR cameras but I am learning fast! Here's a picture of it with my Nikkor AF-S DX 18-200mm with Hoya HD UV filter and Nikon lens hood and Nikon SB-700 speedlight flash.

I hear alot of great things about the Nikon D4 pro series camera on YouTube. I am thinking of getting a 50mm 1.8g FX lens better known as the nifty fifty and also might look in to the 55-300mm lens as well. I wish I could get the 17-55mm not sure if I want to spend out that kind of money yet.

Git-r-done
I like the results I get from my 50-f1.8 but lately I've been using my 50- f2.8 Macro more due to the type of photos I like to take. The other lens I'm using alot lately is the 10-20.

Shot with the 50 Macro with a Nikon D50.

I like the color of that lizard. What are some of the camera lens do you currently own and use? I'm looking for other camera lens besides being interested in the 50mm.

Am not sure if this is off topic or not, but how can you tell how good your camera is? By daytime shots or nighttime shots?

I would get the 50mm 1.8 lens. It is really good in low-light. I love it. I am currently using a Nikon D3100 with 55-200mm and 50mm 1.8 lens. My 18-55mm lens broke. Would love to upgrade both the camera and lens but don't have the money.

I will probably get the 18-200 next instead of just the 18-55 lens.

Question when I am outside in sunlight I can get the shutter to take photographs when I am inside seems like the shutter is set to slow not sure how to set it..Previous owner had his own settings before I received it. I know I know read the manual but I haven't found the chapter that covers shutter speeds.

Try doing a reset of the settings. Press the 2 buttons with green dots next to them at the same time . this will return the camera to factory default settings.
What mode are you shooting in? Try using Shutter priority and then you can adjust the shutter speed by spinning the rear control dial.

Try checking out the description of operations here: Nikon D300 In-depth Review: Digital Photography Review

Good looking camera. I'm currently using a D7000 with nice collection of lenses. I would love a D4. I considered a D600 but it wasn't worth the upgrade from the D7K right now.
