Looks like a good old Slinky antenna to me. I once ran one on 75 meters in NYC on top of my apartment house 14 floors up in the sky and worked great.

Love the calico cat on the table. Great photo and nice bokeh! That's gotta be a Canon DSLR or better.

Great pics K9...my calico "Patches" would sit alongside the icom r-75 (listening to the broadcast, I believe) and if I reached for the tuning knob would put a paw on my hand just like in your third photo. She was probably saying "leave it alone Russy, I like the ladies voice on this freq." Then when I removed my hand from the set, she put her head back down on the desk.

Damn cats are so funny and want things their way. I sure miss her! But, I am glad you posted those pics...thanks for making me smile.

Russell

Great snaps!

Cats and radios go particularly well together. I miss my buddy, BC, a lot. He kept me company while scanning/SWL'ing and hamming for fifteen years:

For those of you that like the combination of cats and radios (and who doesn't?), here is Universal Radio's page devoted to just that:

http://www.universal-radio.com/cats.html

My cat, BC (RIP) is on page 31.

In addition to the great pics, you can read about some of the cats by clicking on the "catbio" link, highlighted in yellow.

Enjoy!
