It looks a little bit "hillbilly"? Noting the door handles to mount the cb antennas?
But if it works for you...cool.

Eh, one of the nicer terms I have heard it called. LOL.
I know its pretty redneck/ghetto, but I just graduated from High School and don't have lots of $$$.

Yeah, They actually work pretty well. Didn't really want to spend a lot on lip mounts bc I got the antennas for free from a friend.

Underglow is neon. Lights under the car.
The fire button is for the water squirter. It is hooked up to the Arm switch and then you press fire to shoot water out the front of the car.

When I first looked at this, I too, was speechless. Having read the replies, there are a few things that have come to mind. First off, having a HAM ticket just out of High School? Some might point out the geekiness, but there's a good amount of effort that has to be put into getting it, and for someone so young to have gotten his says a lot. People are talking about how the hobby is dying-here's someone who has a long time to keep it going.
The question about it being a joke.....OK, I can see where you're coming from, but I can remember some of my first installs; 12 or 13 years old, trying to wire up my TRC-421A and Bearcat 220 into my parent's 1973 Buick Century. I didn't know a thing about DC wiring, and remember melting the insulation off of some 24 gauge wire because I had a 20 amp fuse in the line. A lot of being a ham is experimentation, this stuff is home brew at it's best.
How many people here were willing to remove interiors and rocker panels when they were his age to route wires? Most people are too intimidated by it when young, and usually learn by watching others do it first. While I admit that the wiring job could be better, it's a good base to build from. I bet his next car looks 50 times better, and the one after that 100 times better, etc.
I say good job.

In high school, I had a 1990 Mercury Sable with a Motorola Syntor X9000 (uhf flavored... yummy) with the systems 9000 siren option. At that point I was a member of the local auxiliary police department (dispatcher) and a commanding officer (rose through the ranks to post Captian) in my local police explorer post. The vehicle was used for ocassional traffic details during special events, when I would break out the Tomar Police light II dash strobe (in red/blue, federal style). The local police knew about my siren but due to my affiliations didnt care much about it. In retrospect it was prob not the greatest idea. The A9 head for the radio was bracket mounted on the floor to the middle hump up under the dash area. I forgot to mention, the radio was installed by a professional upfitter that was on the aux police department. Everything was concealed under carpeting, moulding, etc. The UHF quarterwave was drilled in the trunk lid per my choice, but I do remember him suggesting the roof, which I veto'd, can't remember why though. I think it was for the wacker effect.
In a previous encarnation of the vehicle I had a Whelen WS295 (i think) mounted under the passenger seat with a cigarette lighter plug for power and wires running through the door jam for the bell speaker which was wedged between some hoses and wires under the hood.
When I was 16/17 I did make some questionable choices but its a learning experience.

I will agree with Citywide, when I was in high school, I wired my stuff in my 68 Coronet with phone cable, and wondered why the wires were always getting hot and melting.
It never seizes the amaze me that after all these years even with beginners' installs, you get an idea from a picture. I am working on a work project that by seeing the handles, it solves my temporary application. Thanks...
My two cents, try to conceal the cable. In school I had a similar setup and the other kids would cut the wires, not good. And always think of safety - ground and fuses...
