Default NYC shack

It's a bit of a mess...

Main rig is a kit-built Elecraft K3. Linear is an SB-220.

And a quick pic of the SB-220 during its overhaul:

Two Eimac 3-500z triodes; HV is anywhere from 2.5kV to 3kV nominal. Amp will push out 1200w PEP with 100w drive.

I recently replaced all the mica caps, metering board diodes, and parasitic suppressors.

Sometimes. When I do get on UHF, it's mostly on Howie's machine (WB2HWW). I can probably talk to you tomorrow. I have to go to the 4U1UN shack to check the antennas tomorrow; I'll bring one of the HTs.

Given the prices of real estate and rent in NYC I would say you should charge rent to the radio gear as it must be taking up at least 500$ worth of monthly space.

If that is a bit of a mess, I would take it anyday of the week. Looks very sweet.

Yeah I think the people that call their shacks messy have either a) never visited another shack or b) have done absolutely no browsing on this forum.

Great shack by the way!

Antenna being used now is a Tarheel 100A; it'll handle the legal limit. I also have a Buddipole, MP-1, and a bunch of Hamsticks.

So far, fortunately no RFI complaints. This even with the amp pushing out 1200w. BTW, I'm thinking of selling the amp and replacing it with an SPE Expert 1kW solid state amp.
