Default Low profile install *cough*

Installed my radio, GPS ant, VHF ant, and UHF ant. Computer on the way...

Radio is a dual band Orion, one control head, controls two radios and lights/sirens (siren tones disabled, of course). Light in the rear is a 911ep TD39, I will be selling it and replacing it with a linear LED like the Dominator.

Got some paint made to match my paint code and painted the the mirror caps..switched to full wheel covers instead of center caps.

Added an autodim mirror+compass and a few other extras...

I removed the rear partition seat and replaced it with cloth rear seats, still need to work on getting the right seatbelts....And oh look.. I even took off the 'Police Interceptor' logo... Just gotta work on the damn glue residue now..

I took the pics at my part time gig...

Nice looking car! Love the Orions, they cant be beat! Also like the equipment drawer in the back, those make it SO nice to work on things! Are you planning on keeping the push bumper or you plan on doing some deer hunting with it haha. Nice car man!

Very nice, but if there is gas in that red container get it out of there! Ford has said itself that you should *never* have that gas in the CVPI trunk...

Nice clean setup! I did a few installs/programming with the orions at a past job and they are great radios to work with. Only worked with one dual setup like that though.

On another note, are people not allowed to be curious anymore?

I believe it is a very relevant question. He has what he calls a low profile install, yet a pushbar and LED bar visibly showing. I'm simply asking what purpose they may serve him.

Last time I checked, your asking me about my asking is the same level of curiosity I have in terms of the pushbar.

That's why I asked. Good 'ole, plain 'ole curiosity. You know, that thing most people have.

It's a lower profile demonstration vehicle for my company.

I have vanity company tags which are blurred out for a reason, on the interwebs.

tint is going on, rear fascia will be painted body color instead of 'fleet black', push bumper will be painted body color most likely as well...

It looked like this when I picked it up....

It was an former LEA vehicle... Be glad you didnt have to worry about yanking out cages, hiding multiple holes in the roof where they had lightbars, and having to do work interior where the radios and Laptop/MDS mounts were.... Its still a smooth ride! Wish I still had my CCC 9C1.... And soo am getting an FCVPI one of these days.

lol, I know. I've coverted some for cab companies, so I know they are a pain in the ass. The OP did a nice job with this one though. I'm currently looking for a Mercury Marauder in good condition to do some work on.

huh?

Of course I did....

part of what my company does is take marked units and turn them into low profile/admin cars..

That includes plugging/hiding unused holes, removing cages, partitions, etc etc.

All of which I had to do on this vehicle as well...

It was an Admin unit, I have all the documentation/maintenance history to support it as well....

It's a 2004 with 57K miles....

I looked at buying one before I bought my truck.

It will be interesting to see what you do with it, and how you fit your radios, as a Mercury Marauder is a console shift, which would make it difficult if not impossible to fit a radio console.
