Default Mancave Command Center

I finally got around to setting up my new computer and moving scanners around. Yes the tv is a little crooked, I'll fix it when I lower it down about 2 inches.

Dual 22" LCD with a 19" LCD tv

Scanners. Still working on my HAM license. Pager is for local fd.

Dual-Quad core xenon processors with 8 gigs of ram, soon to be 16.

Good looking shack, but one of the first things I noticed is the ORIGINAL Advisor pager from Moto. I haven't seen one of those since I stopped using mine in 1998, lol. Great to see one still in use.

PM inbound.

Yea I should be getting a new pager this week. It's been a good pager and still works perfectly, but it's been through hell and the screen is slowly starting to die so it's hard to read addresses when calls come out.

Where can I get a keyboard like that?

Does your computer just fly around the room with 8 gig of RAM? I wonder what it would do with 16...

I bought the keyboard at BestBuy. I don't remember what company makes it but I can tell you when I get home.

And yes, sometimes I have to bolt it down when it takes off. Only problem is some programs weren't written to work off more than 2 processors. I have no problem rendering high deff video and playing COD 4 on maxed out settings at the same time.

Cameras, batteries, scanner, GPS, and sometimes a laptop. Just everyday gear.

I think the Pelican case is the best investment I've ever made. I've been through 2 Lowepro camera bags and both have ended up ripping and I snagged this for 75 bucks on clearance when Sportsmans Warehouse went out of business. It was supposed to be for guns, but oddly enough it fits cameras just perfectly.

Here's the link to the keyboard since I've got like 4 pm's about where it came from.

Newegg.com - Saitek PK17U Black/Silver 104 Normal Keys 12 Function Keys USB Standard Cyborg Keyboard - Keyboards

Definitely should buy it at newegg. I think I only paid 10 bucks less for my open box special at Best Buy.

On the left? Thats part of the towers case, its just off. Since this room is in the corner of the house and its an older house, it doesn't get as much cool air so its always at least 5-10 degreees warmer in here. I keep a fan blowing on it.

Right now I'm running Vista 64. Ive tried Windows 7, but theres still just not enough drivers out there for it.

I bought the desk at an auction. It's been through 4 houses that I've lived in and every time I've had to reinforce is with "L" brackets. I'm in the market for a new one as well. Watch craigslist, I've found some sweet desks on there.

Well it started out as Dell T3400 I believe. I bought it from a guy who refurbs computers from aircraft manufactures so it was all ready to go when I got it.

Inside you'll find:

Intel Xeon E5430 @ 2.66 GHz x2
8 GB Ram

x2 150 GB hard drives

x1 1 TB hard drive

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT Video card

I've got no clue as to what mother board it is, other than some type of intel server board. I tried to take it apart, but the plate of ram is in the way...
