Default My Stealth Case

This is a case I have put together over the last week or so, I have found it works really well and does not stand out at all, most people think it is a lunch bag or toiletries case, little do they know

Looks like your average lunch bag

Open up and you have the top pocket which has ear buds, spare batteries, notepad and pen plus a spare aerial. The bottom has a Pelican 1060 micro case.

Open the Pelican case and my Icom R20 is safely held with foam cut to fit around it.

Nice, but why go to such effort to go stealthy?

I agree, seems to be excessive for a handheld scanner.

The reason for going stealth is because I don't like having to answer all the questions people ask when they see you with a scanner. I also work in an educational environment and some of the students are less then perfect, if it looks like I am carrying something expensive with me then it might go missing

I can kinda see your idea here, which is a good one, but you also need to consider that some of them may get wise with you carrying that bag, then they would want to know what is in side it, and it will be gone anyhow.

Yes I do carry it in my normal backpack to work but having it setup like this means I can carry it to my car when I go to lunch without any questions. I don't leave my radios in the car if I can avoid it
