Default Cigar Box "Console"

When funds became tight, I was looking for a simple (inexpensive) way to get the scanners off my desk. Cleaning out the garage over the weekend yielded several cigar boxes, which seem to be made for this. This was a box of "Cuban Rejects", and it's sturdy and very well put together. Cut out part of the bottom for the scanner to pass through, a little Dremel work for the mounting screws and - done!
(You could find these in almost any cigar store, usually they will give the boxes, or charge a dollar or two)

Not going to make anyone envious, but an idea for those that are a little handy with a screwdriver and a razor blade. One thing to remember, cedar dust can be toxic so wear a mask if you do this.

For now, the Pro-160 sits inside the box, and the Pro-95 does the Unitrunker duties.

The YB-400 is an old favorite, but not getting much use now that baseball season is over for us out West.

Next box will be for the BCT's and I might put the Pro-162 on the right side of this one.

Yup, some of my best projects start with... "what can I do with this"

And, I can say ALL of the worst ones, too!

Hey, you got a Yacht Boy there, too. I like mine. I use it just about all the time. That's a nice easy setup you got there.
