Default 2004 Ford Expedition Install

I have finally got around to buy a new car. I recently purchased a 2004 Ford Expedition. I will be outfitting the vehicle with emergency equipment. I work in the News Media as a freelance shooter/producer. I also am a volunteer storm spotter for the local emergency managment agency.

I have ordered a Havis Console for the vehicle and am waiting shippment on it, so i can get started on the install.

I have the following equipment to install in the vehicle:

Havis Vehicle Specific Console
Kenwood TK-8180
Galls 5 function switch box
STL PA 100
STL Sleek-8 Traffic Advisor (for rear window)
STL Sleek-2 Dash Light (for front winshield)
STL Grille PRO Side Lights (for rear passenger and driver side windows)

As you all know, projects like this are never truly finished, so i'm sure there will be many more pieces of equipment to be added as a go along.

Here is a picture of the vehicle, check back soon i'm hoping to have the console in the next week to 10 days!

Enjoy it while you can because there's always someone who ruins it.

Let me know how you get power from the battery to the passenger compartment. I'm about to do the drill/grommet thing if I can't find another way to get the cable through the firewall.

I routed my power cables and other wires through a 1" rubber grommet opening near the stearing column up under the dash. I just cut a small slit in the grommet and ran my wires/cables through it.

Default Update:

Here is what i have done so far. I'm still waiting on the Havis Console. I ordered it on the 4th of January and i have still not received it. Everything is on hold until i receive the console. I ordered the console from strobesnmore.com they say it usually takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. So i'm hoping it will arrive this week!! In the meantime here is pictures of the UHF Antenna and Lights.

1.) Antennex 3db Phantom UHF Antenna
2.) STL Sleek-2 Dash Light
3.) STL Sleek-8 Deck Light

I will post pictures of the console install as soon as it arrives!!
