Velcro vs Belt-clip
Nice...
I can't tell from the pictures, did you place the radio-portion of the velcro on the belt-clip, or did you remove the belt-clip entirely and put the velcro on the radio-back?
Thanks,

The Velcro is on the belt clip itself, and it doesn't affect clip's performance at all. The lower piece is on the bottom of the radio, past the batter cover slot. I've had the same Velcro pieces on there for about 1.5 years and they are still pretty strong. Took a pic of it:

Thanks for the additional pics. I've heard the factory belt-clips can break "easily", so I was wondering how well they work as anchor points with things like velcro. I'm glad it works as you're using it. I might use your method for securing mine in my vehicle.
Thanks,

Yeah, I can see how they can be fragile. I only clip the scanner on the belt when I need to move it from point A to point B, so it doesn't stay on for a long time. So
far it has held up well.

That looks pretty good.
I've been trying to figure out a way to mount my 106 in my Neon other than using a suction cup to the windshield. Hadn't thought of velcro. Seeing that gives me some ideas. Thanks for posting the pics.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. In case anyone is wondering, the Velcro is easily removable without much trace on the scanner. At least in my case with my old PRO-163.

...that's a very small space where the cassette deck is. I wonder if there's a scanner that could fit in there? Might need to "shoehorn" something into that opening. It's a thought!
