Default New Addition to the "Family"

I couldn't resist posting a pic of the newest family member. This is my Uniden BCD396XT. Sorry I don't have current pics of my whole home shack but it's in a reorganizing process and torn apart.

I love this 396XT !!!!

Sweet rig! I was thinking about adding a Uniden trunking scanner to my collection, but I heard a few people have issues with them. Hope yours isn't one of them!

Glad to see someone else using a Laird antenna. They are just much more visually appealing than the RadioShack/GRE 800 MHz antennas, and they work great.

In case you didn't know, you can also get the EXC-806 with an SMA male connector, that connects directly to the Uniden without having to use an adapter. This removes a lot of bulk (and height).

Hi Daniel...congrats on the 396XT. It is a terrific unit and I hope you get many years of usage from it.

Thanks also for sharing the pics with us.

Yeah the Laird performs pretty well and I've looked at the 806 and that's my next little investment for it. I think it'll look a lot better without having to use the adapter for it.

Thanks Russell !!! It is an awesome radio and is by far the most sensitive (scanner wise) radio that I have used, not to mention the most feature packed !!
