Here is the BC125AT I bought to replace the BC355N. I have it in a cup holder mount from The Mount Guys and connected to a Radio Shack magnetic mount antenna. I continue to be really impressed with this portable scanner. Even before mounting the antenna, it picked up fairly decent in the vehicle using the rubber ducky antenna. With the external, it's great! And not a lick of the interference I had with the BN355N. So, the 355 will remain my new base.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10A523 Safari/8536.25)

VERY sweet and simple. Certainly glad the interference is gone too. That was getting ugly.
I received a BC125AT for Christmas and it is the best handheld analog scanner I've ever had (and I've had 5 others).

Excellent solution, I would add 90 deg BNC connector between cable and the scanner.

Looks pretty good. Hope you enjoy it. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the entire vehicle if you can. Thanks.

Thanks all. I am running to RS today on my lunch to get the 90 degree BNC connector. I also need a BNC to Motorola adapter to use my coil loaded antenna on the BC355N I am now using as my base.

Thankfully I KNOW what I need when I go in. I stopped in the RS near my parents' house the other day and asked the kid there for the BNC to Motorola adapter and he looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. Then, while I was looking around another guy came in and was asking questions about a TV antenna and whether this one would work. The kids was like "Uh...it should, I guess". LOL. I'm only 43, but I remember when Radio Shack actually had people working there who knew about electronics. Now, they're just hiring any warm body.

I also want to replace the tie wraps holding the coax to the the roof carrier with black ones so they blend in. I know my Dad has a crap-load of them in different colors, so I will just get a few from him so I don't have to buy a whole pack.

Nicely done! Good to hear that you're getting good results with the new scanner. Enjoy it and thanks for sharing the pics with us.

Lookin' good!!

Once I got a 90 degree connector for my mobile 125AT set-up, it made it look much neater.
