Can you give me the exact model number of the MA sloped front rack, please? I'd like to redo mine for both the sloped front and two more rack units.

Next question is how did you handle the power wiring? Did you use Power Poles or something similar?
Right now I've got terminal strips mounted across the top back of the rack, one strip for positive and the other for negaitive and I don't like it at all. Just too messy and too many wires so I'm looking for a
better method.

Again, nice work. Shoot me your e-mail in a PM and I'll send you a photo ot my setup.

Thanks to all for the kind comments.
Tom...
- The rack itself is Middle Atlantic Products Item# 2-10M from Markertek.com.
- Regarding power wiring, the Furman power conditioner has 8 standard outlets on the rear. Some of those are spaced at "wall wart" widths. Using those outlets plus one power strip (itself plugged into one of the Furman outlets) I was able to power two 996s, two 396s, two RH96s, the R7000, and three Stridsbergs (10 items total). I did not want to deal with voltage differences between devices or cut any power cords in case I want to reconfigure or sell units in the future. Therefore, there is not a central power supply (i.e., no Astron or DuraComm).
- You mentioned Dick Robinson - I didn't realize he was the EEB guy until I talked to him about these rack mounts. It's fun to realize that the radio I bought from him 30 years ago sits in a rack mount purchased from him in late 2012.

Very very nice. Wouldn't mind seeing the 396's mounted on the sides as well!

Great setup! Neat and clean and very professional. You've given some of us a new set of ideas.

Thanks for sharing,

Russell

Two BCD-396T are hung on the side of the console. Method of mounting simply uses Motorola microphone brackets. The belt clip stud on the back of the radio snaps right into a Motorola mic bracket. I had a bunch of useless mics left over from some Maxtracs that I bought, but you can also buy the clips on ebay.

I do this so that I can easily grab a 396 when I want to go sit in the back yard or take one on a road trip.
