Good afternoon! Well, I finally got a hold to the RadioShack Pro-197, and it is now a part of my listening post set-up.
Pictured are the following rigs (top-right down to right):
1. Uniden BC355C - It is NOT narrow-band compatible.
2. RadioShack Pro-197
3. RadioShack Pro-2096
4. RadioShack Pro-106
The last 3 listed rigs have the following agencies programmed into them with the exception of the Texas Department of Public Safety on the Pro-2096:
Beaumont Fire & EMS, Beaumont Police, Beaumont ISD Police, Lamar University Police, Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office, Water District 10 VFD, Bevil Oaks VFD, LaBelle-Fannett VFD, Hamshire VFD, Texas Department of Public Safety, Beaumont ISD Transportaton, and Beaumont Municipal Transit System.
On the Pro-2096, I have the county's and statewide frequencies programmed into it.
Now I have to find a rack and a decent antenna system, and I'll be set for sure!
