My Simple Home Setup (V. 2)
Good afternoon! Well, I finally got a hold to the RadioShack Pro-197, and it is now a part of my listening post set-up.
Pictured are the following rigs (top-right down to right):
1. Uniden BC355C - It is NOT narrow-band compatible.
2. RadioShack Pro-197
3. RadioShack Pro-2096
4. RadioShack Pro-106
The last 3 listed rigs have the following agencies programmed into them with the exception of the Texas Department of Public Safety on the Pro-2096:
Beaumont Fire & EMS, Beaumont Police, Beaumont ISD Police, Lamar University Police, Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office, Water District 10 VFD, Bevil Oaks VFD, LaBelle-Fannett VFD, Hamshire VFD, Texas Department of Public Safety, Beaumont ISD Transportaton, and Beaumont Municipal Transit System.
On the Pro-2096, I have the county's and statewide frequencies programmed into it.
Now I have to find a rack and a decent antenna system, and I'll be set for sure!

Thank you all for your kind words! I really appreciate it. I will have another update when I get a rack and an antenna for these rigs!
Happy scanning!

I ordered the following items from ScannerMaster and should have them by the end of the week:
-- SP-1300 Combiner/Splitter
-- RG58 Jumper Cable, 3', BNC Male to BNC Male
-- WPN-97 Nomad Base Antenna
In the future, when more funds become available, I will be purchasing:
-- WRP-2500 Pre-Amplifier for Wideband Scanners
-- SpectrumForce Desk Mount for Two Base Scanners
External speakers will be purchased also; either Uniden or Motorola.
