My Little Shack!
Hello Everyone!
Since my family room has been taken over by drums, keyboards, guitars and recording equipment, I have been forced to take up residence somewhere else with my scanning gear. So, in my Master bedroom, I built a shelf of sorts for all my scanning needs.. This has worked out pretty good since up here I don't have need for any external antennas. I am almost 500 feet above sea level. Our neighborhood has all wiring ( power/phone/cable tv) underground, hence mimimal interference. I labeled everything so that the pictures are self explaining.

The 2 996XTs are used solely for the Connecticut State Police P25 digital system and a few other local digital towns in the area.
All 3 BCT15Xs are exact clones, except that the last one on the far right is a back up for E.R.S. purposes and is used full time for Mil-Air-Civil Air monitoring.
The 396XT is used only for digital, and the PSR-310 covers ll analog.

I tell you Lindsay, I had my doubts when these things first came out, but once I hooked up all amy gear, I don't know how I ever did without one! No wallwarts, no large power strips needed, no issues at all! I did go through a lot of connectors during the learning process!

Thanks RT!
It is a work in progress. I am in the process of saving up for an Icom IC-7000 to add a little Ham fun to the shack!
