Front driver lip mount, Laird Tri-band for scanner. On roof front to rear, VHF 1/4, UHF 1/4, 5db gain 900, VHF 1/4 (1/4 on VHF, 3/4 on UHF, used for SVR200's), and offset towards the driver side is a Maxrad 800MHZ low profile antenna. GPS antenna is on the passenger side on the front hood. Radio console top to bottom, BCD996xt, UHF/900 Orion's, VHF/800 M7100's. The project is mostly complete and i will add a few more pictures in the coming days.

Love the GEs! I've got both a VHF & UHF that I ran into a single head, thus saving room in my console for ANOTHER radio! :D

Excellent! I see that it's warmed up in Iowa finally. Looking forward to seeing the completed photos.

I have a 98 Durango that I'm looking to change the console. Just to be clear you cut the back half of the existing console off right? I'm thinking about doing the opposite and keeping the back half. Also, in case i go the same route you did what type of new console did you install?

Yes, just did a rough cut then small a smaller one to finish it.

That's a very nice installation.
What brand is the metal console ?

I haven't had much time to finish working on this project, but here is a little update.

Did a few changes recently:

1) Put a new console in with arm rest
2) Moved speakers around
3) Moved the Orion/M7100 front mounted mics to accy port

Like your changes, especially getting back your arm rest...:)

A few questions:

1) The stack of connectors on the drawer units are to create the interconnection so 1 head can control two bands?

2) Are the SVR 200s on top of the drawer units on the far left and far right?

3) What's the clear case unit in the middle?

4) What's your opinion on the Laird tri-band for your scanner?

1) Yes. You can mix Orion's/M7100/Jag 725M with a "dual radio cable"

2) Yes.

3) Fuse block for all radio's. https://www.bluesea.com/products/5025/ST_Blade_Fuse_Block_-_6_Circuits_with_Negative_Bus_and_Cover

4) It works fine as a scanner antenna for VHF and above. I wanted to use it for VHF/UHF/900 ham bands. 2M SWR was fine, 440 was just a bit high, and 900 I never tested so I purposed it as a scanner antenna for now.
