Been wanting a decent scanner setup for a while in my car without modifying the car too much. ProClip USA makes a really nice phone mount for the Fusion, which is how I have the PRO-18 mounted. The antenna is a Larsen NMOQW152 (which works surprisingly well on 700/800 MHz). The antenna installation was done by Ron at Newport Bay in East Brunswick, NJ. What do you all think?

Thank you! It's the original Digital iScan circa 2011. It's based off of the GRE PSR-800.

Yeah, permanent mount NMO quarter wave. That's the way to do it!

Thanks for doing a proper antenna installation.

May the RF Gods smile upon your installation.

Thanks for the replies, all! ac316scu, that is correct. Both parts are from ProClip USA.

Looks great! Congrats on the proper antenna install. I use a G0XT (I think that's the logo on it) mount for my Pro-18 in my Trailblazer and a generic copy of the same mount in my '06 Silverado. Both work great and keep the scanners in place...so far, anyway. I may have to look into the Proclip mounts, a vehicle-specific one with a more durable attachment would be nice...so far so good, but I can't help but wonder about the long-term durability of the 2-sided adhesive tape. Nobody wants to hear that "clunk" when the scanner falls off of the dash.

Enjoy the Pro-18...they're great and often under-appreciated scanners.

It's super durable and reliable. I highly recommend it.

Which proclip phone/device holder are you using? I want to use it for my radio shack scanner too.

Thanks.

See here and here.

Looks good!. You did the correct thing by properly installing the NMO assembly and not using a mag mount. Nice and clean on the antenna and the holder for the scanner.
